Kelli is a 36 year veteran English Language Arts teacher and a budding mini farm enthusiast. She is passionate about mini farming and lives on a small farm in Oak Ridge, Texas, where she raises Nigerian Dwarf/Pygmy goats, seven breeds of chickens, and miniature donkeys. Kelli has had a passion for animals and farming her entire life, and as a teenager became interested in gardening.Healthy living became an important part of her life in 2011, as she battled her first of two battles with breast cancer. Eating a clean diet of pesticide free vegetables and fruit has helped her regain her health. Her passion for gardening, mainly vegetables, has grown to include beautiful flowers of all kinds. Kelli feels the beauty you see in flowers, plants, and vegetable gardens is a gift from God. Learning more about clean eating led Kelli to become interested in Companion Planting. The Companion Planting concept is fairly new and encompasses all of the things she loves. Having a garden that flourishes where flowers and vegetables live in harmony in a pesticide free environment is her ultimate goal. The beauty and benefits of healthy eating and beautiful plants all wrapped up in one space. Kelli loves to share her knowledge of gardening with her granddaughters who enjoy helping her water the garden and harvest the vegetables. She feels there is so much value in teaching our young to enjoy the benefits that come from the earth.
