Raven (Val Perina), was born in a small suburb of Illinois. She began writing when she worked at a library in IL. She felt connected to all materials. Her job was not only as a librarian but also book repairer. She often wondered, how many times she saw torn pages, coffee stains, or the binding was worn. Her passion was to mend these books back to a readable stage. She felt a sense of compassion. She admired each book that was written by Authors, perhaps like herself, and she needed to get the books back on the shelf in good standing. Her love of each book written, on the library shelves, inspired her to write. She wrote her first children's story, back then manuscripts were sent to publishers from the writers guild, or magazines. Each time she send one out, it was rejected. She was discouraged. She gave up. Time went by, and she grew up, got married, and had her own children.Her mother, God rest her soul. Encouraged her to write a novel. She always told her she'd be an author one day, for all her writing was done on her lap. Raven waved a hand, "Nah!" She kept journals. wrote in them each day. Wrote stories, but never published. She lived in the Czech republic for many years. After her mother passed away, she began writing again and was set to publish. Her Mother would have been proud. Raven enjoys spending time with her daughter. She enjoys writing, cats, cooking, astrology, drawing, crafting, and bringing joy to others. Despite her illness, she makes her days positive, even when she isn't feeling well.
