Cristian Marino is a chef, blogger, and author who began his global culinary journey in 1999. He is also a Certified Health & Nutrition Life Coach. Born in Milan in February 1982 and raised in Calabria, Cristian mastered the art of cooking in his parents' restaurant. At 17, he relocated to Northern Italy to attend the prestigious "Erminio Maggia" Hotel School in Stresa, balancing his studies with work in local hotels and restaurants.Before venturing abroad, Cristian refined his skills across Italy's diverse regions, including Abruzzo, Piedmont, Calabria, Lombardy, and the Aosta Valley, embracing each area's rich culinary traditions and techniques.His career path has led him from being an executive chef in five-star hotels to becoming a culinary consultant. Cristian's passion for the culinary arts has taken him throughout Italy, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, amassing a wealth of experiences in over ten countries.Cristian has earned 'The Golden Q' from Ospitalità Italiana for his excellence in Italian cuisine at several restaurants he has led. He also received a 'Silver Plate' award after organizing a thematic dinner event in collaboration with the Accademia Italiana Della Cucina.With professional stints in Italy, France, the UK, Spain, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Indonesia, and Dubai, Cristian has explored over 30 countries, drawing inspiration during his tenure with Silversea, a highly awarded six-star cruise ship. His roles have included serving as Executive Chef in Europe for Radisson Blu and InterContinental and, between 2019 and 2020, as Complex Executive Chef for two Marriott Hotels & Resorts in East Java, Indonesia.Recently, Cristian led the opening of three restaurants in a large, established resort in the Maldives.
